Get Farm Likes, If Your Farm Looks Interesting

Rearrange your Farm, easier than ever

  • With the Move tool on, press X to hide everything you placed and see only the tiles it stands on. You see the free land at once, and you can place things close together.
  • All types are color coded: Gear, Animals, and we separated Shrubs, Crops, Grapevines to their own colors, so you know how to place them best.
  • Press X again to bring everything back and see the result.

Farm Likes

You can use this Move – X opportunity to make your Farm as beautiful as you always wanted, because now your Neighbors can tell you that they love it. A well-designed Farm might get more likes. Or a really weird one… you know best.

Farm Likes are for everyone who enjoys decorating. They are not about performance, and they do not show how well you play.

  • How to like a Neighbor’s Farm: when you visit, click the heart next to the visit buttons.
  • You can give one like to each Farm.
  • The back of your Farmer Business Card shows how many Farm Likes you have. Click the line to see who liked your Farm.
  • The game tells you when somebody likes your Farm.

Bees with amazing new animations

  • They turn to face where they fly, and each bee now flies on her own instead of in one block.
  • Each bee has a shadow on the ground, and creates little puffs of pollen on the plant she visits.

Visiting Neighbors

  • Before, if you picked the Sleeping filter by mistake, the game remembered it, and your Neighbors list looked empty every time you came back. Now the Neighbors list always opens on Awake, on game refresh.
  • The traveling screen now says who you are visiting.
  • On a Neighbor’s Farm you now see their photo, level and name in the top left corner. Their Farmer Business Card and the places you can visit are in the top right corner.
  • The button of the place you are already in is now gray and says “You are already here”.
  • Neighbors who ask for help now have 20 more things to say.
  • Fixed a visit to an empty Bellflower Meadow that stayed in the clouds.

Bird Watching

Thank you to everyone who wrote to us about Bird Watching. We read every message, and this update fixes what you reported.

  • Before, one photo counted for a whole group of birds, so most birds in a flock had nothing left to give you. Now you can photograph each bird of a group.
  • Fixed the photos in the Bird Catalog that showed a bird on a black background. A photo now shows your Farm behind the bird.
  • If a bird is hidden behind something, the Binoculars now tell you, and no photo is taken. Before, you could get a photo of a hay bale.
  • Sparrows are now easier to find. On your Farm they come in groups of 4, and a new group arrives every 4 hours.
  • The first time you raise the Binoculars for the Quest “Your First Bird Watch”, the game shows you a Sparrow that sits still, with an arrow on it.
  • If you have no Bird Catalog open, the Binoculars now lead you to your Empty Bird Catalog, and then to the Bird Catalog in the Collections.

Easier to read

  • The “planting” / “harvesting” load bar that shows over a Plant / Gear / Animal while you work now has a color for each action. It was surprising even for us how well we read what is happening in the game just by those colors.
  • Fixed the numbers that fly up over your Farm. About half of them did not show at all. Now every number shows, and it starts right above the thing you clicked.
  • The numbers are bigger, each kind has its own color, and a big number has a comma: 1,180 instead of 1180.
  • You now see the XP you get from the Evaporator, from plants you forage, from feeding the Horse, and from a harvest with Starred products.
  • Beehives and Bee Skeps now show a nectar bar in their tooltip. It says “Storing Nectar” while the bees are inside.

Other fixes

  • Fixed the Level Up popup that could stay on the screen if you scrolled the cards after you pressed Close.
  • Quest tasks now count in every Area. Before, some items you picked up on a visit did not count if Joe was in another Area.
  • In a Quest, “Show Me” now opens the Gear Remote when the Gear you need is in the Factories. Before, it sent you to the Warehouse.
  • In the Old Shack, the Place button is now gray when the item cannot be placed in that Area, and the tooltip says why. Before, the click did nothing.
  • The Root Cellar catalog now shows the right Jar sizes for each Shelving Unit.
  • The long message about a Shrub that loses its stars is now one short line: “Too close to other objects: no Starred Fruits”.
  • Wild trees, bushes and grass now make a sound when you click them. The Cattail and the Pond Vegetation sway.
  • The mother Duck no longer walks on the water. She is a duck, not a miracle.
  • The Pheasant no longer freezes after a walk. It now pecks at the ground and stays near its bush.

Happy farming!
