Take pictures of the birds that visit your Farm. Fill the Bird Catalog and sell it. Earn Bird Points for ribbons.

How to start

• Reach Level 26 and complete the Charity Orders in the Quest “Into the Wild”.
• Robert calls you. His Quest Chapter, Robert’s Bird Watch, has 5 Quests.
• The Quests give you 7 Bird Feed, 1 Empty Bird Catalog, 5 Instant Photos and the Bird Watching Binoculars.

What you need

• Binoculars. You get them once. They are never used up.
• Instant Photo. One picture uses one.
• Empty Bird Catalog. One starts a new Bird Catalog.
• Bird Feeder and Bird Feed. They bring the special birds to your Farm.

Take a Picture

1. Hover the World Map button and click Binoculars.
2. Click a bird that sits. A bird that flies cannot be photographed.
3. The bird gets a Specimen value from 10 to 100, and a grade.

• One picture for each bird. Birds that land together each give their own picture.
• A green check on the Binoculars means that bird is already photographed.
• Click Cancel to put the Binoculars away.

Grades and Bird Points

Example: a Splendid Blue Jay gives 13 x 3 = 39 Bird Points.

The Bird Catalog

• Find it in the Collections tab. It has 4 pages, one for each bird.
• A picture with a Specimen value of 75 or more fills the page of that bird.
• With 4 pages filled, click Add to Barn. You get 750 XP and 2 Bird Feed.
• Sell the Bird Catalog from your Barn for 50,000 Coins.
• The next Bird Catalog needs a new Empty Bird Catalog. You can get more from Tyrone’s Market Stand or the Shop.

Bird Feeders

• Buy a Bird Feeder in the Shop, under Decorations, and place it on your Farm.
• Click the feeder to fill it. It takes 1 Bird Feed, and the feed lasts 4 hours.
• Special birds land a few seconds later: 3 or 4 Goldfinches, 2 Cardinals or 1 Blue Jay. They wait for you.
• The birds leave 10 minutes before the feed runs out. The feeder then shows when new birds can come.
• Up to 3 feeders can hold Bird Feed at the same time. Each one brings its own birds.
• A feeder that holds Bird Feed cannot be stored or sold.

A better feeder brings better birds:

Bellflower Meadow

• The special birds come here with no feeder and no Bird Feed.
• 3 or 4 Goldfinches, 2 Cardinals and 1 Blue Jay land together, once every 20 hours. They wait for you.
• Instant Photos and Empty Bird Catalogs are kept for each Area: in the Warehouse at home, in the Old Shack in Bellflower Meadow. The Truck moves them.

Birdbath | How to see more birds in it

• Put the Birdbath close to the place where your birds sit. A bird chooses a place that is near.
• Keep few fences and hay bales next to it. Birds also sit on those, so they share the visits.
• A Bird Feeder with Bird Feed pulls the birds to the feeder first. The Birdbath gets fewer visits then.

Which birds like it most

• Sparrow, Goldfinch: More often
• Cardinal, Blue Jay: Less often. They like the trees more.
